Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 September 2026
This policy explains how this website handles personal data when you connect your personal LinkedIn profile and ask it to publish content on your behalf.
1. Scope
This policy applies only to this website's LinkedIn personal-profile OAuth integration. LinkedIn's own processing is governed by LinkedIn's privacy policy.
2. Data we handle
The integration requests the OAuth scopes openid, profile, and w_member_social. Depending on what LinkedIn returns and the feature you use, we handle:
- your LinkedIn member identifier;
- basic profile information made available through the openid and profile scopes;
- the LinkedIn access token needed to act on your authorized request;
- text, media references, and other content you submit for publishing; and
- post identifiers and status information returned by LinkedIn after a publishing request.
3. Why we use it
We use this data only to provide and secure the LinkedIn publishing feature you request:
- to connect the correct LinkedIn member account to this website;
- to send content to LinkedIn on your explicit instruction and report the result; and
- to maintain security, diagnose failures, and prevent misuse of the integration.
4. Legal basis
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on your consent (Article 6(1)(a)) when you connect LinkedIn and authorize access. Where necessary, we may rely on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) in securely operating and troubleshooting the feature you requested. The applicable basis can depend on the particular operation and jurisdiction.
Publishing occurs only when you instruct this website to publish. You may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.
5. Recipient and service provider
LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company (LinkedIn Ireland) receives the authorization and publishing requests and processes data for the LinkedIn service. LinkedIn's handling of that data, including any international transfers, is described in the LinkedIn Privacy Policy.
6. Retention
We retain an access token only while the connection is active and never beyond its expiry. We delete it when it expires, when access is revoked or deletion is requested, or when it is no longer needed. LinkedIn member and basic profile data are kept only while needed to maintain the connection and are deleted after disconnection or a valid deletion request.
Submitted content, returned post identifiers, and limited diagnostic records are retained only as long as needed to complete the publishing request, show its result, maintain security, and resolve failures. They are then deleted or anonymized when no longer necessary, unless a legal obligation requires longer retention.
7. No sale of data
We do not sell your personal data and do not use LinkedIn data for advertising or unrelated profiling.
8. Revocation and deletion
You can disconnect this website at any time in LinkedIn's permitted-services settings. Revocation prevents future access but does not itself delete data already received by this website. To request deletion of that data, contact us.
Manage permitted services on LinkedIn or email [email protected].
9. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability, or object to processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Contact us to exercise these rights. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection supervisory authority.
